Shafqat Hayat

During my teaching career, I gained extensive experience delivering lessons in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Biology to students across different age groups, including school-aged children and college learners. As a lecturer at Government Postgraduate College Khanewal, I taught core computer science subjects such as programming fundamentals, IT systems, digital literacy, and database basics. Alongside this, I supported students in Mathematics by teaching essential topics such as algebra, arithmetic, and problem-solving techniques, ensuring they built strong foundational skills. I also assisted in teaching introductory Biology, covering human systems, basic cellular biology, and general scientific concepts in a way that was easy for younger learners to understand. I created structured lesson plans, delivered interactive lectures, managed classroom behaviour, and designed practical exercises that engaged students with different learning styles. My role involved assessing student work, recording progress, giving detailed feedback, and providing additional support to those who needed help catching up. I enjoyed teaching children in particular, as it allowed me to use simple explanations, visual aids, and activities to keep them motivated and curious. Beyond academic teaching, I developed strong organisational skills through maintaining digital records, coordinating with other teachers, and managing multiple subjects at once. This experience strengthened my communication, leadership, and adaptability as I learned to tailor my approach to the needs of each class. Overall, my teaching background across Computer Science, Mathematics, Biology, and child education has helped me become a confident and versatile educator capable of supporting students academically and personally.
