I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Manchester who has A Level and GCSE qualifications in Mathematics. I am an approachable and patient person who has previous experience working with children of all ages, through customer service roles and voluntary work at a local day care. I view myself confident enough to teach younger students at or below GCSE Level to help them succeed and achieve their full potential through developing their basic, fundamental skills in Mathematics. Having a strong foundation in a strong subject such as Maths is critical in being able to unlock future opportunities, whether it is career led or simply interest based.
Coming this far in my educative level would have not been possible without my own tutors who guided me appropriately through my GCSEs and A Levels, much beyond primary school education. I would appreciate the opportunity to return the kindness of my teachers by tutoring other students who are on a similar pathway to me to help them achieve the same level of education without facing barriers or difficulties.
I teach both in-person but preferably online lessons as they tend to be more flexible and make efficient use of time. I have personal experience tutoring my younger siblings in Mathematics, as well as taking part in school clubs to assist other younger students in my secondary school to understand any topics that they struggle with.
My exam board is formerly Edexcel but I am familiar with all the other exam boards as well. Thank you for taking your time to consider my application.
