I have been proactively involved in different aspects of education for almost 10 years now.
Teaching and disseminating knowledge has now become my second nature and thus are an integral part of both my academic and personal life and I truly feel that placement in this job role would help me in my future career ambitions. It would also help me gain independence and life skills which are a prerequisite for developing as a educationist.
I have been working for the last 1 year as a Btech media teacher in a local school in Blackburn managing to teach KS3 and KS4 students.
In addition I have also been working as a supply cover teacher for secondary school and colleges in the UK for the last 9 months now and this exposure and experience has further elevated me on a more bigger and international platform. Going to various prestigious schools In Lancashire has polished my skill in a more holistic manner. Dealing with all calibres and cultures has help me gain an exposure that has added to my expertise in various subjects.
As a cover teacher I have been collaborating with lead Teachers, Teaching Assistants and School Administrators to make sure students are safe and taught their respective subject in the most effective manner.
I have always believed in having planned lessons but improvisation is a tool which we as teachers are bound to work with at any time of the day with students, as at the end of the day there is always a cloud of uncertainity lingering over every individual, especially the students we teach. I believe that promoting in-class engagement and good behaviour is imperative for a cover teacher as students have a tendency to take supply teachers for granted but I believe its my duty to effectively handle the individual and teach them accordingly.
Proctoring examinations and quizzes, assigning and collecting assignments and keeping it organised for when the permanent Teacher returns are the tasks I am required to do as a supply teacher on a day to day basis, which I have been successful in doing because of my extremely efficient and organized nature. I have always been praised for the timely completion of tasks in every institute that I have been a part of.
I am a quick leaner that is a quality which has immensely facilitated me in my career, especially during Covid, which were challenging for us all, especially teachers, but I was able to manage and handle online classes as well as blended classes. Covid further trained me in getting tech savvy and since then, my approach has changed drastically completely digitalizing every aspect of teaching and learning.
I have always considered myself a very approachable and friendly teacher. It is this quality that has enabled me to counsel students and guide them in various challenging situations, for instance, after scoring a low score in exams and other health and social issues.
I have designed and planned each lesson through research and that is a quality that has helped me grow as an educationist.
I consider myself as an ideal candidate for the job role for the above mentioned reasons and skills which have helped me be who I am today.
It is my turn to give back what life has given me as teachings and lessons and I have never been more ready and confident.
I am eager to explore the various nuances of this job title, to develop further specialist knowledge and enhance my skills in all areas. I am looking forward to immersing myself in your prestigious organizational role, with like-minded people, and all the challenges it may bring.
