I have completed A levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry, achieving three A*s and I have a place to study Medicine at a Russell Group University next year. I also achieved at GCSE six grade 9s, three grade 8s, and one grade 6. I am available for tutoring in maths (any exam board), biology (AQA) and chemistry (AQA) at all levels up to GCSE.

I volunteered as a tutor to students between the ages of 11-16 while I was studying; I am patient, a good listener, and I have developed several techniques to help students learn and build confidence. Having struggled academically myself during lockdown, I know what it is like to lose confidence in your ability, and I know how to find appropriate and accessible ways of explaining key concepts to young students, whether it be providing real life context and relevance or explaining each step in great detail.

I believe it is important in STEM subjects to ensure students understand the most basic concepts, which are often rushed, so they can access more complex concepts built on these foundations.

I can also tutor exam strategy, it is vital that students are able to go into exams confident that a difficult question will not throw off their whole paper. This is especially try in science subjects, where many of the questions are based on application of knowledge. I have developed a range of highly effective revision and learning methods during my own study and can adapt these to suit the needs of each individual student and their learning.
