My lessons are engaging and dynamic, with a multitude of methods used. I use PowerPoints to explain psychological theories and methods with advice on how to remember key information which can be especially difficult for psychology. I can mark essays using PEE (point, explain, example) and can help you in having clear paragraph structure which correlates to the marking scheme. I am also fluent in welsh, and can tailor my lessons to students learning psychology in the welsh language. I like to engage in interactive tools like Kahoot and Quizlet to encourage metacognition and independent learning. Providing clear and constructive feedback as well as creating clear goals and reviews is important as it helps adapt to the students needs and progress. I want to foster a comfortable and supportive learning environment in which you feel comfortable asking questions regarding your learning experience. I will help prepare quizzes to test your knowledge in a supportive and constructive way to ensure the best learning experience. I will use open-ended questions so we can have valuable and deep conversations, especially when it comes to assessing research and psychological theories. This will ensure that during the exam you can think deeply about why some research is good but also bad within certain societal contexts. I want to help foster the passion for psychology by looking further than the curriculum and thinking in a wider context. Each lesson will be tailor made to each student and their ability, focusing on building their knowledge in a dynamic way, but also being able to think on their own feet when it comes to the exams.
