My experience is that during sixth form, I was an assistant once a week to a year 9 Maths class where I helped the students out with their work if necessary.

My experience is that during sixth form, I was an assistant once a week to a year 9 Maths class where I helped the students out with their work if necessary.

My format that I will follow should I become a teacher is that I will first summarise the content we will study on a particular subject. Then I will go through the content, teaching the students and letting them engage if they have something to add. I will also ask questions to make sure they understand. Then I will go through some examples on how to answer particular exam like questions and once they got the hang of it, I will let them answer questions on their own. I will be there though should they need help.
