I start off using Powerpoint slides as my launching point. My lessons are very interactive. I use the Powerpoints slides to launch the classroom accounting discussion. I share some funny and interesting war stories from my 40 year accounting career. I like to have fun in the classroom and create a non-threatening environment where there are no bad comments. We use everything to help enhance the learning experience. We work through some exercises together in the classroom and relate our accounting lessons to current events in our economy. You can have fun while learning accounting at the same time. I like to think I do a good job of explaining the material via the Powerpoint slides, versus reading off of the slides.

We incorporate newspaper articles, videos, and other media related to accounting to help enhance the learning experience.
