As a global international teaching scholar, I offer engaging, structured, and highly student-centred lessons designed to build confidence, mastery, and a genuine love for Mathematics and STEM learning.
Lesson Format & Approach
Each session begins with a short diagnostic or retrieval activity to assess prior knowledge and identify gaps. I then deliver clear, step-by-step instruction using real-life applications and visual modelling to simplify complex concepts. Lessons are highly interactive—students actively solve problems, explain their reasoning, and develop critical thinking skills. We conclude with independent practice, personalised feedback, and targeted next steps to ensure continuous progress.
Specialities & Curriculum Expertise
I bring deep knowledge and teaching experience across a wide range of international Mathematics curricula, including SATs, 11+, KS3, GCSE/IGCSE, PSAT, AP, IB, and A/AS-Level Mathematics. My teaching is aligned with curriculum standards and assessment objectives, ensuring students are fully prepared for both coursework and examinations.
With a strong focus on:
Building solid foundational numeracy and algebraic fluency
Mastering exam techniques and achieving high performance in assessments
Developing advanced problem-solving and mathematical reasoning skills
Bridging gaps between different international curricula for globally mobile students
Stretching high-achieving students while supporting those who need confidence and reinforcement
STEM, ICT & Digital Skills
In addition to Mathematics, I bring a strong interdisciplinary skill set that enriches my teaching:
STEM Education: Integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to promote real-world problem-solving
ICT & Digital Literacy: Proficient in educational technologies, virtual learning platforms, and interactive teaching tools
Coding & Programming: Introducing students to computational thinking using beginner-friendly languages and logic-building activities
Robotics: Supporting hands-on and virtual robotics learning to develop creativity, innovation, and teamwork
eLearning Development: Designing engaging digital learning resources, structured online courses, and interactive content tailored to different learning styles
What Makes My Teaching Unique
My teaching combines academic rigour with a supportive and motivating environment. I use interactive online tools such as digital whiteboards, simulations, and live annotations to create an immersive virtual classroom experience. Every lesson is tailored to the learner’s pace and style, ensuring personalised support while maintaining high expectations. I also emphasise a growth mindset—helping students overcome maths anxiety and build resilience.
Experience & Career (UK and Internationally)
With over ten years of teaching experience, I have taught across diverse educational settings in the UK and internationally. In the UK, I have worked as a supply teacher across multiple secondary schools, delivering the Mathematics curriculum to students from varied backgrounds and abilities. Internationally, I have supported learners through personalised one-to-one and group sessions, both in-person and online.
I am currently undertaking a PGCE with QTS in Secondary Mathematics at Canterbury Christ Church University, further strengthening my teaching practice in line with UK professional standards. Throughout my career, I have successfully prepared students for high-stakes examinations such as SATs, 11+, GCSE/IGCSE, and A-Level, consistently improving attainment and confidence.
Overall Learning Experience
My lessons go beyond exam success—they are designed to develop independent, confident learners equipped with critical thinking, digital, and problem-solving skills for the future. Students and parents can expect professionalism, consistency, measurable progress, and a genuine commitment to excellence.
