With over 25 years of experience in primary and special education, I provide personalised, engaging lessons tailored to each learner’s needs. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit individual strengths, challenges, and interests.
My lessons are structured yet flexible. I begin with a short check-in to build rapport and assess how the student is feeling, followed by clear, simple learning objectives. I use a variety of approaches, including visual aids, discussion, practical activities, and step-by-step guidance to ensure concepts are understood and retained.
I place strong emphasis on building confidence and independence. Students are encouraged to ask questions and learn at their own pace in a supportive, positive environment. I use encouragement and constructive feedback to help learners feel safe and motivated.
For students with additional needs, I incorporate strategies such as repetition, multi-sensory techniques, and clear routines. My experience allows me to quickly identify what works best for each student and adjust accordingly.
My goal is to make learning accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful, helping each student reach their full potential both academically and personally.
