I would teach AQA Sociology, particularly Education, Families & Households, Global Development, and Crime & Deviance (whilst the other topics aren't my focus, I can adapt to those topics). I would begin with introducing each theory, and adapting the ones to the topic being discussed. This would involve Powerpoints and illustrations that neatly put each argument in a box, making it easier to remember. Furthermore, unlike the natural sciences, sociology is a debate-driven subject, so I would encourage my students to have their own opinion on who's correct as this would not only encourage the students to be keen scholars, but also help them think like a sociologist!

Once a topic has been adequately dealt with, I would provide past questions to those students, alongside showing them how the ideal answer may look like and how it's structured. I would look at how they answer it and give constructive feedback for their answers. If possible, I'd also try to gain rapport with the students so that the student's own personal interests can be more relevant to the subject, thereby further motivating them to be studious. This is especially possible given that sociology uniquely attempts to explain society as a whole, meaning that each theory can be used to explain any aspect of one's life. Throughout the process, I would try to encourage students to ask questions and frequently test them on the points discussed. As I've only recently finished Sociology, I've got lots of knowledge surrounding the topics, alongside lots of self-created resources, including: past and possible future questions, diagrams, answers and answer plans.
