My approach to tutoring is not just about teaching English; it's about coaching for a specific, high-stakes exam. I work with students to identify their weaknesses, whether it's managing the time constraints of the Reading section or improving their band score for Speaking. In a recent example, I worked with a student who was struggling to get past a Band 6.5 in Writing. By focusing on specific areas like cohesion and coherence and giving them structured feedback, they were able to achieve a Band 7.0 on their next attempt.
