I will personalise my lessons based on the specific student, and use the first lesson to get an idea of what the student struggles with and what their goals are. I will provide example essays according to the level of education, sample questions and test papers and create a lesson plan for every lesson depending on the child. As I specialise in English, I will need to see the books that the children study at school, but my teaching methods should work for all students! I achieved a high level 6 at sats, a grade 9 for both English literature and language and A for A - level, from using different types of methods. I currently study English at City University and mentor children at Morpeth school as well and exam invigilate. I have studied all of Shakespeare, and have read a range of books across all exam boards throughout my years of teaching and studying. I also have an incredible record for teaching the subject of english language and could help those who naturally struggle in either literature or language. My lessons could be either in person or remote, depending on the child/student and we could either do the lessons on Microsoft Teams, Zoom, local library or at the students’ house depending on the preference of the parents. The parent is welcome to sit in on the first half of the first session so we can discuss what we would like from the outcome of the lessons! My lessons are hourly and I would recommend at least once a week, but we could arrange more depending on the students’ needs.
