I am a Master's level student who has more than 10 years of experience of working with mathematical and financial problems. I have an undergraduate degree in Economics and currently I am pursuing a postgraduate degree in Management, both which involve the use of basic mathematics. In school I achieved scoring more than 90% in both my board level examinations (standard 10th and 12th). As a kid I used to love doing basic mathematics, and still do. Mathematics is something what I am good at naturally and I can help school students find better ways of solving simple mathematical problems. As a young student in school and even during my undergraduate years, I have always helped my peers and juniors to understand basic mathematical principles. I also worked part-time as a mathematics tutor back in India for a brief while when I used to be off from term time during my undergraduate degree. I believe that practice is the key to perfect simple and basic mathematics. With the right mindset any student can achieve better and higher results in mathematics. Often students are afraid of dealing with numbers, I can help them deal with this fear by sharing some of the techniques and tricks that I have been applying all my academic life to get better understanding of mathematics. Mathematics is a subject that requires understanding and I believe getting to the core of the problem helps a student understand it better. Overcoming the fear, and making it a fun exercise is my method of helping the student in understanding mathematics better.
