My lessons are designed to be a mix of structure and flexibility. Firstly, we will have a basic one-on-one session where we can discuss your needs as a student, how to improve your grade, and/or how to develop your English Literature and Language skills. Then, from there I will curate a personalized schedule that adheres to your learning pace, and learning gaps that I need to either teach you or help you improve.

For GCSE English Literature and Language, I know first-hand how overwhelming and stressful it is to understand all sections, skills, and texts relevant to the exam. Therefore, as someone who has achieved grade 9s in both English Literature and Language in GCSE, and a Level 6 in Higher Level English in IB, I can certainly understand what examiners are looking for and how to get there.

In our sessions, we will focus on whatever areas of GCSE English Literature and/or Language you are struggling on, whether that be building your understanding of texts, strengthening your analysis of language, identifying key themes, creating a bank of quotes, or any other area of improvements.

I want our lessons to feel engaging, meaningful, and informative. This would be a great opportunity for you to learn the skills required to achieve a high grade in English Literature or Language (or both!). I cannot promise that each student will achieve the highest grade, but I can assure you that I will teach the skills you need to get there.

Overall, my goal is to bridge any gaps in your knowledge, create a fun learning environment, and build your confidence so that you feel prepared to deliver well, structured exam responses.
