While our lessons will take place online it is important to me that my learners feel engaged and connected to a real person during the lessons. I usually arrange an initial meet and greet session, free of charge, so parents, carers and students can get to know me and we can discuss what tuition might look like going forward.

After our initial meeting, tuition sessions are usually 1 hour long and will include fun and engaging maths activities to suit your learning style. This might be videos, research, projects, quizzes or games. The content will be subject to your goals and aligned with your current school or AP curriculum as well as the National Curriculum and serve as a revision tool to boost and fill gaps in your knowledge.

Progress will be monitored through a mix of informal (quizzes, knowledge checks, etc.) and formal assessments where appropriate (tests). Regular feedback in the form of phone calls and/ or emails will be given to parents and carers to update them on your progress.

While it is not necessary for Parents/Carers to be in every online lesson a responsible adult (18+) will need to be present and in earshot for the duration of the online meeting.
