My lessons are interactive, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals. I start by identifying what you find most challenging and then build a plan that helps you strengthen understanding, apply knowledge, and feel more confident in your exams.
In Psychology and Sociology lessons, I use real-life examples, case studies, and exam-style questions to make abstract theories easy to grasp. We break down tricky topics, review past paper questions, and focus on building strong evaluation and essay-writing skills. For English Language and Literature, I help students develop analytical writing, improve vocabulary and structure, and learn how to express ideas with clarity and confidence.
Each session usually includes:
- A short recap of previous content to check retention
- Step-by-step teaching of new material with clear explanations and examples
- Guided practice using exam-style questions or texts
- Personalised feedback and strategies for improvement
I adapt my teaching style to your needs - whether you prefer visual notes, discussion-based learning, or structured writing practice.
With my background as a qualified teacher (PGCE + QTS) and experience as Head of Psychology at a London secondary school, I’ve supported a wide range of students, including those with English as an additional language or special educational needs. My goal is to make learning feel approachable, organised, and empowering - so you can not only achieve your target grade but genuinely enjoy the subject along the way.
