Sandi Hilbert

My lessons are engaging, stimulating and tailored to the individual. I’m an intelligent, warm and witty tutor with plenty of personality, and I believe that the best learning happens when you feel comfortable, curious and genuinely interested in the subject. I have a particular love of the classics, literature, history and the richness of the English language, and I enjoy bringing these passions into my lessons.
Rather than relying solely on textbooks, I use conversation, thought-provoking discussion, real-life situations, stories and carefully chosen material to develop both knowledge and confidence. Whether you’re looking to improve your English, refine your vocabulary and pronunciation, become more confident in conversation, or simply enjoy exploring the language and culture in greater depth, I will tailor each lesson to your needs and interests.
My approach is professional but never stuffy — I like my students to feel that they are learning with someone who is knowledgeable, approachable and genuinely enjoys teaching. Expect stimulating conversation, plenty of encouragement, a touch of humour and lessons you’ll actually look forward to.
