I have previously volunteered to tutor both GCSE Maths (including Further Maths) and A Level Maths, giving me experience working with students across different levels. My teaching approach begins with identifying the student’s weaker areas, which I do by reviewing their school mock exams and setting a range of diagnostic questions at the start of our sessions. Once these areas are pinpointed, I provide clear, step-by-step explanations and work through a variety of questions with the student to build confidence and understanding. I also encourage students to bring in any specific questions or topics they’re struggling with, so we can address them directly and ensure they leave each session feeling more confident and capable of working independently.
