i use an i pad white board to draw , write and explain the lecture and some times i use the power point for the same purpose. i like to interactive with my student by asking them questions to see wither they understand me or not. i worked for 24 years in the university teaching this subject so i know how to enter to my students brains and make them understand.
usually i go through the material step by step from the easy to the hard level because i like to build a strong foundation to make sure that my student will under stand and digest the difficult parts if they have strong base.
not only i explaining but also i make a conversation to see the weakness points and try to overcome it.
I’m not striked about the time even if the section is one hour , I don’t mind giving it 90 minutes to 120 minutes with no extra charge just to make sure that the student understands the idea of that section.
I like to chat and make jokes to give my students comfortable feelings while listening to me.
after explaining to lecture i solve some examples with different ideas . and then i give my student a problem to solve and show it to me ,so we can discuses whats right and what is wrong. at the end i give them an assignement to make sure that we covered the whole material .
