I'm a maths tutor specialising in secondary-level and GCSE support, with several years of experience helping students build both their confidence and their grades. My lessons are tailored to each student, because no two learners get stuck in the same places or respond to the same explanations.
Every student starts with a quick, no-pressure chat so I can understand where they are: which topics feel solid, which ones cause frustration, and what they're working towards, whether that's a specific target grade, an upcoming mock, or simply feeling less lost in class. From there I build a plan that fills the gaps in the right order, since maths builds on itself and a shaky foundation is usually the real reason a "hard" topic feels impossible.
In a typical lesson we'll work through problems together rather than me just talking at the whiteboard. I explain a concept, we try examples side by side, and then I hand the pen over so the student does the thinking while I guide. I use plenty of past-paper and exam-style questions as we get closer to assessments, so there are no surprises on the day and students know exactly how to pick up every mark.
I'm patient, encouraging, and genuinely happy to explain something five different ways until it clicks. Many students arrive convinced they're "just not a maths person" and leave realising that isn't true at all.
If you'd like to boost a grade, prepare for GCSE, or just make maths feel manageable again, I'd love to help.
