All of my lessons take place online via Google Meet, which offers a flexible and convenient way for students to learn from anywhere. Each session is one-to-one, so the focus is completely on your child’s individual needs, pace, and learning style.

At the start of each lesson, I check in to see if the student has any questions or difficulties from previous topics or homework. Then, we move on to the main topic of the lesson, which I break down into clear, manageable steps. My teaching focuses on building a deep understanding of concepts rather than just memorising procedures, because I believe this approach helps students become more confident and independent in maths.

After explaining the topic, we work through a variety of practice questions and exam-style problems together. I guide students on how to approach each question logically, highlight common pitfalls, and explain the reasoning behind every step. I encourage students to try questions on their own during the lesson, offering support when needed, so they can build both their problem-solving skills and exam technique.

The lessons are interactive and paced to suit the student’s comfort level. I regularly check for understanding by asking questions and adjusting the lesson if necessary to make sure no one gets left behind. Whether preparing for 11+, SATs, or GCSE exams, my goal is to help students build strong foundations and develop lasting confidence in maths.

At the end of each lesson, I provide a brief recap and suggest what to review or practice before the next session. I also send a detailed progress report to parents after every lesson, outlining what we covered, the student’s progress, and any areas to focus on. This keeps parents fully informed and involved in their child’s learning journey.
