Samantha Dove

As a mother of two teenage boys, I have spent many years reading, listening to and sharing stories, and I have always had a genuine interest in language and communication.

During my school years, I particularly enjoyed English, and I have always appreciated the importance of listening carefully, speaking clearly and using correct pronunciation and spelling when learning a language.

I believe that listening is one of my greatest strengths. I am patient, attentive and understand that everyone learns differently. I also feel strongly that learners should be encouraged to pronounce words confidently and to the best of their ability, as developing good pronunciation can make a real difference to both communication and confidence.

I have a subtle Mancunian accent, which I see as part of my personality and character. I have often been told that people enjoy listening to me speak, and I believe my friendly, approachable manner helps create a relaxed and comfortable learning environment.

Most importantly, I would love to help learners build confidence in English, enjoy the process of learning and feel comfortable expressing themselves.
