I have a degree in Design Crafts, where I developed a strong foundation in art and design, including drawing, pattern design, ceramics, and surface design. My work focuses on creativity, experimentation, and developing personal style, and I enjoy helping students explore different techniques and express their ideas with confidence.
Alongside this, I am currently studying a BA in Education Studies, which is helping me build a deeper understanding of how students learn and how to teach effectively. I am learning about child development, inclusive education, and different teaching methods, allowing me to adapt my approach to suit each student’s individual needs.
In my lessons, I create a calm, supportive, and creative environment where students feel comfortable to explore and take risks in their work. I break down tasks into clear, simple steps and use visual examples, demonstrations, and guided practice to support learning. I believe art is not about being “perfect” or realistic, but about creativity, expression, and developing confidence.
I am particularly passionate about supporting students who may lack confidence or need additional support, including SEND learners. I use scaffolding, encouragement, and structured guidance to help students build skills at their own pace.
My goal is to help students enjoy learning, develop their artistic skills, and feel proud of their progress in a positive and engaging environment.
