As an experienced English tutor with a strong background in teaching and academic support, my lessons are structured, engaging, and focused on building both confidence and competence in English—especially for students preparing for the 11+ exams.

Each session begins with a quick recap of prior topics, followed by a well-planned lesson targeting key areas such as comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and creative writing. I use a variety of resources including past papers, interactive activities, and tailored worksheets to keep students motivated and involved.

For 11+ preparation, I focus on exam techniques, time management, and building the core skills required for success. My lessons are designed to gradually increase in difficulty to ensure students are fully prepared and confident when sitting their exams. I regularly assess progress through mini-quizzes, writing tasks, and mock tests, providing feedback that is constructive and encouraging.

With my experience working as a tutor and English department supervisor, I understand how to adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s individual learning needs—whether they need extra support or are aiming for top marks. I believe in creating a positive learning environment where students are not afraid to make mistakes and are encouraged to think critically and creatively.
