Sam Qiu

I am a London-based music producer and musician with a First-Class BA in Creative Music Technology from De Montfort University. Music has been at the centre of my life for years: I produce and release my own work, write and perform as part of a band, DJ, and work professionally across artist marketing, live events and music distribution.

My lessons are practical, friendly and led by your goals. Whether you are completely new to production, have a few unfinished ideas, or want to develop a stronger sound, we will work step by step at a pace that feels comfortable. We can focus on building beats, sampling, arranging tracks, songwriting, basic music theory, keyboard or guitar foundations, recording ideas, and introductory mixing. I can also help you become more confident using your preferred music-production software and develop a creative routine that works for you.

Every lesson will be shaped around the music you enjoy. Rather than following a rigid plan, I will listen to what you want to make and break the process into clear, achievable stages. You will have space to ask questions, try ideas and learn through making your own music.

Alongside my production background, I have worked as a Learning Support Assistant in a junior school, providing one-to-one and small-group support and running extracurricular musical activities. This experience has developed my patience, communication and ability to make learning feel encouraging and accessible.

Lessons are available online or in person in London. No previous experience is needed; you only need curiosity and a willingness to create.
