My lessons are structured but relaxed, and tailored to each student’s needs and project stage. I usually start by asking you to share any current work and a short outline of what you’d like help with. From there, we agree clear goals for the session – for example, strengthening a concept, improving a drawing or layout, clarifying a design narrative, or refining an essay. Depending on your preference, we might use screen-sharing to sketch over ideas, annotate your work together, or break tasks into smaller, manageable steps so progress feels steady rather than overwhelming. The idea is to work in a way that best supports your learning.

My experience comes from studying art at different levels of my academic career, including graphics, fine art, and architecture at university. I also tutored students in Maths and Physics during my A Levels, helping GCSE retake students to complete their Maths GCSE and helping A Level Maths and Physics students with revision and core learning. This mix of creative and analytical teaching has helped me become patient, clear, and good at explaining ideas in different ways until they make sense. Lessons are conversational and supportive: I ask questions, listen carefully, and offer detailed, constructive feedback rather than simply telling you what to do. The aim is for you to leave each session feeling clearer, more confident, and with practical steps you can take to move your work forward, as well as a better understanding of your own strengths as a learner and designer.
