I studied psychology in school, college, master’s and finally completed a doctorate. I have taught psychology at all levels and teaching is an activity that truly gives me joy and rarely feels like work because of the passion I have for it. I studied psychology in school, college, master’s and finally completed a doctorate. I have taught psychology at all levels and teaching is an activity that truly gives me joy and rarely feels like work because of the passion I have for it. I had good teachers all my life who invested so much effort in my learning and I always aspire to do the same for my students.
I have been told I am good at explaining concepts in a form and manner that the learner needs. My classes are usually fun as I use humor and activities to make learning enjoyable. I don’t “lecture” but my classes are more workshop style where everyone is participating and personalizing the learning for themselves.
Any relationship is a two way street and one between a teacher and student is no different. As much as I value teaching, I also value learning and hope for the same from my students. It is much more meaningful to teach when students bring excitement and curiosity. Perfection and being tough on yourself is never what I encourage. I do value accountability and an earnest and sincere effort. Most importantly, I value fun and I promise fun we shall have.
