With every student, I offer a free 15 minute consultation and create a plan to gauge where the student feels they are at and tailor each class according.
In general, lessons typically begin with a starter activity where gaps of knowledge can be easily picked up to make sure which part of the curriculum is not understood in depth. After identifying key areas I will break down the topic into chunks and ensure any gaps in knowledge are filled. After a clear explanation, we will do practice questions of varying strengths and gradually build up to harder exam questions. Towards the end of the lesson we will spend some time in reflection to see how the session went and set some homework in order to solidify learning to ensure the student can achieve the learning outcomes set in the beginning of the sessions.
