My lessons are structured, interactive, and designed to build confidence by turning complex ideas into simple, memorable concepts. I begin each session with a short recap to reinforce previous material and identify any gaps before introducing new content. This creates a strong foundation and ensures that students are not just moving on, but genuinely progressing.
I use a clear, step-by-step teaching style, breaking topics down into manageable parts and explaining not only what to do, but why certain methods work. Whether I am teaching Maths or Economics, I make extensive use of diagrams, real-life examples, and exam-style questions so students can see exactly how theory translates into practice. I also model how to approach questions in a way that examiners reward, demonstrating planning, structure, and the key terminology required for top marks.
My lessons are not passive. Students actively participate by solving problems, asking questions, and practising under my guidance. I believe that understanding develops through doing, so I encourage them to apply what they learn rather than simply memorising information. I provide personalised feedback throughout the lesson and set tailored homework that reinforces key skills and prepares them for future topics.
I have experience tutoring GCSE and A-level students, helping several improve by multiple grades. For example, some of my Economics students have gone on to study at universities such as King's College London and Nottingham after significant academic improvement. Above all, I aim to create a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel motivated, challenged, and confident in their ability to succeed.
