For instance i have to explain the topic fractions… ill take example of a pizza and ask the students to answer me .. as pizza is kids favourite nowadays, so they will quickly interact and answer me. Ill ask there are 4 slices in a pizza, if you have eaten 1 how many are left. And how do we write that in a fraction… well the total number of slices were 4, so 4 goes in the denominator and if you have eaten 1 slice, how many are left, 3… so the fraction of pizza left will be 3/4, and the fraction of pizza eaten will be 1/4, because you have eaten only 1 slice. Similarly, i have many other strategies and ways to explain kids different maths topics, and i can make it fun. When learning is made fun , the kids dont get bored and they understand things well too. I will interact more and give different examples of each topic. Real life examples are a good way to explain maths to young minds. I have really good methods to explain addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The kids will know all of these basic maths rules on their finger tips. I will ask them to observe objects around them to help them understand. I will use hand puppets aswell. Im sure kids will look forward to learning maths with me. I can explain other complex topic in a very easy way too i.e. graphs, money, word problems etc. overall it will be a fun experience.
