I am an 18 year old university student training to be a primary school teacher as I have an interest in working with children. My aim is to not only better their mathematical skills but to enhance their love for learning and education as a whole.

As all students have various needs, my methods of teaching are adaptable and tailored specifically to the needs of my pupils. I also aim to keep my pupils engaged through fun activities.

To ensure my pupils are learning effectively, I will provide them with tasks to carry out as well as mini quizzes at the end to consolidate their learning to see which areas need more focus. Regarding the areas that may need a bit more attention, I could issue a bit of tuition homework (keeping in mind the amount of homework they receive from school) and go over the topic in even more detail next time.

I will be available to my pupils to aid with any homework, whether it be the work I set for them or their school work.

Moreover, I have experience with tutoring children in primary and secondary school and understand their needs based on their ages and sets in school. Understanding that everyone learns at a different pace is also something I consider to be very important. My pupils will not be rushed nor be made to slow down as long as they are feeling confident in their mathematical abilities and are having fun taking part in the lesson.
