Sai Kamarsu

My lessons are relaxed, friendly and tailored to each student. I know that everyone learns differently, so I like to first understand what you’re struggling with and what you want to achieve before planning the lesson.
I usually start by going over any topics or questions the student finds difficult, then work through examples together before giving them the opportunity to try questions independently. I focus on explaining the why behind a method rather than just asking students to memorise steps. I also encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes, as I think this is one of the best ways to learn.
For online lessons, I like to keep things interactive rather than simply talking at the student. We can work through questions together, use a shared whiteboard, and regularly check understanding throughout the lesson. I also adapt the pace depending on the student — if something needs more time, we’ll slow down and go through it properly.
As a First-Class Mathematics graduate from the University of Kent, with an A* in A-Level Mathematics and an A in Further Mathematics, I have a strong academic background in maths. I have also supported other students during university as a Mathematics Student Representative, which helped me develop my ability to explain ideas clearly and patiently.
My main goal is for students to leave each lesson feeling more confident than when they started.
