My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to the individual needs of each student. I begin by assessing the student’s current understanding, goals, and curriculum requirements to ensure every session is focused and effective. Lessons typically follow a clear format, starting with a concise overview of key concepts, followed by in-depth explanation using real-world and clinical examples to deepen understanding.
With an academic background that spans A-level Psychology, undergraduate neuroscience/psychology, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, I bring advanced subject knowledge and strong research expertise into my teaching. This allows me to explain complex theories clearly and to support students with higher-level skills such as evaluation, critical thinking, research methods, and academic writing.
Lessons are interactive and encourage active participation through questioning, discussion, and applied tasks. For exam-based courses, I focus heavily on exam technique, including essay structure, use of key terminology, and meeting assessment criteria. For university-level students, I provide guidance on coursework, data analysis, literature reviews, and dissertation planning.
I adapt my teaching style to suit different learning preferences, whether students benefit most from visual explanations, step-by-step guidance, or discussion-based learning. My aim is to create a supportive, confidence-building environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing independent thinking skills. Ultimately, my lessons are designed to build strong foundations, deepen understanding, and help students achieve their academic goals at any level of psychology.
