I believe in tailoring my lessons to the student, focussing on individual language goals and interests. I also love finding the interesting parts of classical texts and using ancient culture to create an understanding of the world the languages comes from. I focus on grammar, using exercises and example sentences to help create a strong foundation for reading and comprehension.

As a DPhil student, I have a strong interest in the classical languages and a love for the grammar behind them, but I love bringing the classical languages to interests my students might have. Did you know that Latin is the perfect practice for learning coding? Or that Greek can help with English language and essay skills?

I have experience with students of all ages, from younger children starting Classics for the first time, and older students learning Latin to help them understand Catholic services.
