If we settle on an hour session then I focus on the first 10 minutes outlining objectives using two starter questions I walk through with students. I tend to use a whiteboard as its easier than just talking at someone. I show them the correct formatting as it matters especially during GCSE and A-Level and buildings a good foundation for clear working out to back track on.
Then the next 30 minute...

Then the next 30 minutes will be spent with the student completing questions and if they get stuck then I guide them through it like a discussion.
Last 20 minutes will be an exam style question, going through it step by step and then finally comparing our answer to the mark scheme.
