In my lessons, I adapt my teaching method based off of how I feel works best for the student, however, my usual method is scaffolding where my support is at its fullest at the beginning but gradually reduces to ensure that the student can develop confidence in the topic. To make sure that they truly understand, I also switch positions wherein they teach me what they just learnt which is often a favourite for them. Having tutored for 1 year 1 month, I have become increasingly better at identifying a struggle point for the student which, often, lies within their lack of confidence rather than their lack of understanding and have developed many methods to tackle the problem. My lessons are a guaranteed good time as I prioritise shining light on the beauty of the subject rather than providing a constant reminder of grades as I have found this to be far more effective. Having recently finished my GCSE's and am now in year 13, my lessons usually revolve around studying methods that haven't failed me as well as peer favourites but I am always open to conversing with my students about what they feel would work better.
