I am a dedicated and passionate English tutor with a strong academic background in English Literature and Education. I hold an MS in English Literature and am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education (EdD), which allows me to bring both advanced subject knowledge and modern, research-based teaching methods into my lessons. Alongside my academic journey, I have several years of experience working as a freelancer and Teaching Fellow, supporting students with a wide range of abilities and learning needs.

Over the years, I have helped students improve their reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills across different levels, including primary, secondary (GCSE), and higher education. My experience includes teaching English language skills, literature analysis, essay writing, creative writing, and exam preparation. I have also supported learners in developing confidence in grammar, vocabulary, and structured writing, especially for academic success and assessments.

My teaching style is student-centred, interactive, and highly adaptable. I believe every student learns differently, so I carefully design my lessons according to individual goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps so that students can build a strong foundation before moving on to more advanced concepts. I also encourage active participation, discussion, and critical thinking, rather than passive learning.

In my lessons, I usually combine explanation, guided practice, and independent tasks to ensure that students fully understand each topic. I provide regular feedback and practical strategies that help students improve continuously. For literature, I focus on helping students understand themes, characters, and language techniques in a clear and structured way. For language skills, I emphasise grammar accuracy, sentence structure, and expressive writing.

I am also experienced in exam preparation and understand the importance of exam techniques, timing, and mark schemes. I help students learn how to approach questions effectively, plan their answers, and write with clarity and confidence under exam conditions.

My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades but also to develop their long-term confidence and interest in English.
