My lessons are designed to provide a safe, open, and supportive space where students can talk honestly about challenges they are experiencing in education and day-to-day life. This may include difficulties with studying, motivation, time management, stress, or feeling overwhelmed academically or emotionally. Students are always in control of what they choose to share, and sessions are guided by their individual needs and goals.

Each session is tailored to the student, focusing on practical, psychologically informed skills that can be applied in everyday life and academic settings. These skills are drawn from well-established psychological approaches, including techniques inspired by Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and other evidence-based methods, and are taught in an accessible, non-clinical way.

For example, mindfulness is one skill often explored. Mindfulness involves learning how to notice thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgement or becoming overwhelmed by them. In an academic context, this can help students manage exam anxiety, improve concentration during studying, and reduce stress when facing deadlines or high workloads. By practising simple mindfulness techniques, students can develop greater emotional awareness, regulate stress responses, and approach learning tasks with more clarity and focus.

Alongside skill-building, lessons offer consistent, structured support. I aim to be a friendly, professional, supportive presence who listens, encourages reflection, and helps students develop tools to cope more effectively with stress and academic pressures. The overall goal is to support students in building resilience, improving wellbeing, and developing habits and skills that positively impact both their daily lives and their academic performance.
