English Teaching
I have extensive experience working with both children and adults in different educational settings - from schools to residential workshop centres. I have a master’s degree and a CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) and have taught as an English language teacher in specialist schools and as a private tutor.
I am also a musician and love to use songs and music in my lessons - I always find that it’s easier to learn English through song.
I enjoy using games and different exercises to make language learning fun but I also have a thorough knowledge of grammar, having worked as an english proofreader and editor for over 7 years.
I take an empathic approach and can tailor my lessons to your needs. I like to understand how students process information so that I can make my lessons accessible and appropriate for all learning styles.
I enjoy seeing people progress and can support you to reach whatever goal you are striving for - whether it’s to become more confident as an English speaker, or to pass an exam.
I teach online and use a variety of different media to support learning. I encourage using real examples of English from newspapers, TV, and radio to help students get an understanding of how English is spoken day to day. I’m a big fan of flash cards and games that break up complex concepts into bite-sized chunks.
I also encourage students to follow their own interests to keep an intrinsic sense of engagement and motivation.

Vocal Teaching
My approach is to support healthy singing technique through both physical and psychological warming up and opening. I believe that everyone can sing and that working with blocks or difficulties in singing is mostly about increasing self-love and self-acceptance. I could offer different exercises to help you grow confidence with your voice.

Guitar and Music Theory
I teach guitar and music theory up to intermediate level. I like to focus on fingerpicking, chords, and teaching guitar accompaniment for singing. I also teach sight reading for tabs or conventional musical scores. As we develop, I bring in music theory to support the practical learning of the instrument.
