As a qualified Science teacher with four years of experience teaching in a secondary school, I understand how difficult it can be for students to get the individual attention they need in a busy classroom. My tutoring sessions are designed to close that gap by providing personalized, structured, and effective support.

Each lesson begins with a prior knowledge check to see where the student is currently at and to identify any gaps in understanding. From there, I create a tailored list of topics for us to work through based on their needs and goals.

During lessons, I focus on the key information and core concepts students must know for each topic, explaining them clearly and checking understanding throughout. Once confident, we move on to exam-style practice — I model how to approach and answer exam questions, highlighting effective exam techniques and strategies. Students then have the opportunity to attempt similar questions themselves.

At the end of each session, we mark the work together, discussing what went well and identifying specific areas for improvement. This approach not only builds knowledge but also develops exam confidence and independent learning skills.
