I have four years of experience in teaching secondary school maths, including GCSE. My approach to teaching relies heavily on practice - practice makes improvement, after all. My sessions will revolve around my student, and what they need to tackle the most.
First I would discuss what my student find most difficult. Based on that, I would deliver a tailored session to help them grasp the concept. We'll finish with as much practice as possible and of course, feedback - from myself and my student. I always ask my students what they would like to do for next time, so that I can also be as prepared as possible. The kind of tutor I aspire to be is someone who makes the subject fun and interesting - so there'll be no boring lessons here.
