Ruiyi Lyu

Hello! My name is Ruiyi and I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker. I offer patient, friendly and engaging lessons for learners of all ages and levels, especially beginners who want to build a solid foundation in Mandarin. My teaching is flexible and adapted to each student’s needs and goals.

In my classes, I focus on practical communication, including clear pronunciation, everyday vocabulary, and useful expressions. Lessons may include speaking practice, listening exercises, reading short texts, and basic writing. I like to use interactive activities such as role play, simple dialogues, and real-life examples to make learning more enjoyable and engaging. Students are always encouraged to ask questions freely and practice speaking with confidence.

Although I do not have formal teaching experience, I am passionate about language and cultural exchange. I am reliable, supportive, and committed to helping my students succeed step by step. At the moment, I do not hold a DBS certificate, but I am happy to provide alternative references or additional information if required.

My goal is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where every student feels comfortable, motivated, and able to enjoy their Mandarin learning journey.

I am excited to meet new students and to help them discover the beauty of the Chinese language and culture through fun and meaningful lessons.
