My GCSE mathematics lessons are structured to build both understanding and confidence. Each session follows a proven format that maximises your learning potential.
Session Structure
Each 50-minute lesson begins with a quick review of previous concepts and homework (5 minutes), followed by a clear introduction of new material (15 minutes). We then move to guided practice with progressively challenging problems (20 minutes), concluding with a summary and personalised homework assignment (10 minutes).
Teaching Approach
I make mathematics accessible by connecting abstract concepts to practical applications. Using an interactive whiteboard, I provide visual explanations alongside step-by-step problem-solving demonstrations. Your active participation is essential – you'll work through problems with my guidance, building confidence through achievement.
Personalization
Your learning journey begins with an assessment identifying your strengths and areas for growth. This shapes a customised learning plan targeting your specific goals – whether passing with confidence, achieving a particular grade, or mastering challenging topics. We adjust pace as needed to ensure concept mastery before progression.
Between Sessions
Learning continues with targeted homework reinforcing classroom concepts. You'll have access to selected practice resources and support for questions between lessons. Regular mini-assessments help track progress and identify areas needing additional focus.
