My teaching methods differ with each student I teach. I typically try to adapt my methods to what is easiest for the student I am with to grasp. I am a firm believer in going over past questions and mark schemes, looking how we can adapt the students answers to better reflect what the exam boards are looking for whilst also building a concrete base of knowledge that my students are able to begin applying in all their answers without me being there to prompt them. I encourage students to do any work they feel is beneficial to them and to send it to me before our sessions so I can mark them and review their progress through out our sessions, as well as being able to identify what needs extra attention in their answers and the gaps in their knowledge. My main aim is to support the students in where they are feeling less confident and build a strong foundation in their knowledge as well as give them the confidence boost they often need to push themselves and excel!
