In my GCSE Maths lessons, students can expect a focused, engaging, and supportive learning environment tailored to their needs and goals. I specialise in number theory and geometry, so I bring a deep understanding of the underlying principles behind key topics like factors, primes, proofs, angles, transformations, and shapes.

Lessons typically begin with a quick recap to reinforce previous knowledge and build fluency. Then we move into the core topic, where I break down concepts clearly, using step-by-step explanations and visual aids to support understanding. I aim to not just teach students what to do, but why it works — helping them develop real mathematical insight and not just rely on memorisation.

Practice is essential, so we’ll work through exam-style questions together, identifying common pitfalls and developing strong problem-solving strategies. I encourage students to think aloud and ask questions, building confidence and critical thinking skills.

I also tailor the pace and content of lessons to the individual — whether you’re aiming for a pass or pushing for a Grade 9. Every session ends with a short review and optional extension tasks, so students leave knowing exactly what to work on next.
