Experience

I have over four years of experience working as a Cover Supervisor with PK Education, where I have supported students across a range of subjects and year groups. My role has included delivering prepared lessons, maintaining classroom discipline, and ensuring that learning continues smoothly in the absence of the class teacher.

In addition to cover supervision, I have worked as a Teaching Assistant, providing one-to-one and small group support to students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). I have experience in helping children prepare for exams by supporting their revision, developing study skills, and boosting their confidence and motivation.

My teaching approach focuses on creating an inclusive, supportive, and engaging atmosphere where students feel safe to participate and express themselves. I believe in using clear explanations, visual aids, and interactive activities to make learning enjoyable and accessible. I adapt my methods to meet the individual needs of learners — whether through differentiated instruction, scaffolding, or using positive reinforcement to boost confidence.

When working with younger pupils or those with additional needs, I emphasise patience, repetition, and encouragement. I also promote independent thinking and problem-solving to help students develop both academically and personally.
