I work in a collaborative way with my students, we will discuss and decide together what their specific needs and learning objectives are. I create lessons around the needs of each student to best support and improve their work. My lessons are focused and tailored to the individual.
My lessons will differ depending on the current level of the student, however, a typical lesson would include a warm-up word game, followed by a more detailed writing task, finishing with speaking and listening linking back to the writing.
As a recent graduate with a first-class degree, I have an excellent level of written English - including critical dissertation writing and creative writing. I have experience proofreading and editing essays and dissertations, from native and non-native English speakers. I also have experience teaching English to KS2 children who are non-native speakers.
I am happy to teach a range of levels and adapt my lessons as required. I can teach English to native or non-native speakers from KS1 (age 6) until GCSE level (age 16). I also offer proofreading for essays or exam preparation for GCSE or A-Level English Literature students.
