I can prepare lessons in lots of different ways to best suit a student and can make better lessons if I know beforehand what the student would like to study. I will likely use a textbook, power points and past paper questions to teach my lessons. Lessons will be an hour long but can be made longer if needed. My lessons will begin with a starter/recap, followed by the new content being taught with different activities to help the student learn. The lesson will be finished off with a recap of the content learned that lesson to consolidate their knowledge. I have had 1 years worth of experience in teaching the rainforest to a class of Y5-6 students through school and have figured out how I teach and can aim my teaching style to suit different students. For exam students, we can cover a wide variety of past paper questions together and if there are areas of weakness in the students knowledge then we can do a lesson on that topic to further consolidate that area of the specification to leave fewer gaps in their knowledge and can boost them to get the best possible results come the next set of exams.
(I however cannot guarantee knowing all of the content the student may want to learn, as I may have done a different exam board or part of the exam to your student, but with enough notice before the session I can either learn it myself or can let you know in advance that I will not be able to teach that part of the course to the student.)
