If the lesson is online, I will use PowerPoint presentations and Zoom to deliver and share resources in a clear and structured way. I aim to keep the content visually engaging and interactive to maintain the student’s focus. If the lesson is in person, I will make use of pen and paper along with printed materials tailored to the topic being covered. This approach allows for flexibility and ensures that the student receives support in the format that works best for them.
My lessons will primarily consist of me teaching the content in a simple and understandable way, especially if the student is unsure or lacks confidence in a topic. I will then provide a series of practice questions, gradually increasing in difficulty, to build the student’s understanding and problem-solving skills. I will always be on hand to offer guidance and break down questions if they get stuck. By the end of the lesson, the student will fully understand the topic and can consolidate it with some extra homework for more practise.
I have several months of tutoring experience, during which I’ve supported students across different ability levels. In addition, I’ve taken on extra mentoring responsibilities at my school, helping younger students with academic challenges and offering advice on study strategies.
Academically, I achieved seven grade 9s at GCSE and am currently predicted A*A*A* at A Level. I’m passionate about my subjects (Maths, Further Maths, and Economics) and am aiming to study at the University of Cambridge, where I hope to further deepen my academic and teaching skills.
