My name is Robert and I am a London based freelance writer, art historian and lecturer.

I have presented public talks for galleries including the National Gallery, written for national newspapers and spoken on popular podcasts. As a communicator, I know the importance of poise, confidence and personality. Which is why my students practice fluid informal conversation and learn to talk about the subjects that inspire them.

Every lesson structure is bespoke, to suit the experience level, ambitions and needs of the student. More experienced students can focus on refining grammar, pronunciation and technical vocabularies, while new learners can get to grips with basic sentence structure and frequently used phrases.

With each individual student we can begin with an informal assessment and then agree on goals.

Lessons can be taught online or in person but I encourage my students to make use of real world situations such as coffee shops and art galleries to respond naturally to the environment.
